Lettuce Enjoy Learning!

On Tuesday, Mrs. Smith announced that some of the lettuce in our garden was ready to harvest.
We volunteered, 

and since we'll be learning about plants soon, we turned the harvest into an introductory lesson about plant parts.  Along with some items purchased by Mrs. Glandon, we used the lettuce to make a salad from different parts of plants.

First, we washed the produce carefully.

Then, we added all the ingredients.

After we mixed the salad, we had a GREAT snack!

We LOVED our salad snack, and almost every part of our salad came from a different plant part!
