What's the Matter?

This week, we talked about the three states of matter.
We learned that the particles that make up gases, liquids, and solids behave in different ways.

The particles in solids are close together and move so slowly you could never tell that they're moving.

The particles in liquids are still pretty close together, but they can move freely.

The particles in gases are not close together, and they expand to fill up the space they're in.

Did you know everything that takes up space, everything in the whole universe, is made of matter?  We thought it was pretty cool.

We also liked eating the left-over Fruit Loops!
