For the last two weeks, we have been learning about matter. We've learned that matter has three states, and that some matter can change from one state to another. Today, we had an experiment to see if we could take milk, half and half, and vanilla (all liquids) and change them into a solid. Can you guess what we learned?
Making a mixture.
Adding another liquid to our mixture.
Poured it into a freezer bag.
We placed our baggies into a gallon-sized bag with ice and salt, and then the fun began!
We shook the bags...
and shook the bags...
and shook them some more...
and, finally...
Ice Cream!
Yummy!
Even though our experiment was not entirely successful, it was a LOT of fun!
