Root Beer Floats!

Today, we made Root Beer Floats!  We didn't actually use root beer, because Mrs. Glandon does not like root beer.  Did you know that a float has ALL THREE states of matter?  The ice cream is a solid, and the soda is both a liquid and a gas. When the ice cream melts, the matter makes a mixture. It would be hard to separate the three different parts.  We also learned that floats are DELICIOUS and that science can be FUN!
