Mayor Visit

Hinesville's Mayor, James Thomas, Jr. visited us today!  He talked to Frank Long's second graders about his work.  We learned that the Hinesville area has almost 80,000 people.  Sometimes being the mayor is fun, and sometimes it isn't fun.  He told us that he works sometimes 60 hours a week.  He said that the best part of his job is talking to children like us.  Did you know that there are almost 400 people who work for Hinesville?  Mayor Thomas was really nice, and we learned a lot about being the mayor of a town.
